High Grades for 15th GCAE Golf Business Conference in Cascais
“Attendees with energy and curiosity willing to change the industry to the better.” It must be said, the glorious Cascais weather, the excellent Palacio hotel did help a lot, but also the content of this year’s conference was better than ever according to the delegates.
With an 8,6 out of 10 the delegates gave the event very good marks. The theme Technology and Innovation was well received by the nearly 150 golf business representatives.
Amongst the highest scoring speakers were James Cronk from Canada talking about the importance of great team spirit for innovation. Guy Riggott, operational director of Burhill golf spoke about their success by really listening to customers by applying the NPS technology. Jonas Meyer, Danish Golf Union, gave very good insight in the opportunity to increase the happiness of members who are more active on the course with their own group instead of within club live. Renate Roeleveld showed all men present in the audience where women are equal, but not the same.
8 suppliers showed very strong innovations which can help the golf industry with its need to pick up speed to get in line with the implementation of Tech in Society.

The yearly gathering of the biggest Multi Course Companies took place in good friendship as always during the event.
The finalizing golf tournament was won by the team consisting of the ceo of the Royal Spanish Federation and the general manager of Europe’s highest scoring golf club with an NPS of 83, Fredrik Melcherson. See picture.
Fredrik is invited to share the secret of his success at next year’s event, which should take place in Belgium.
