Online delegate registration for the European Outdoor Summit 2018, which takes place from 19th to 20th September 2018 at the Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmӧ Live, in Malmӧ Sweden, is now open. Bookings can be made with an early bird discount rate until Friday 27th July, at the EOS website www.europeanoutdoorsummit.com

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) is pleased to announce IWA OutdoorClassics as its first headline sponsor for the EOS. IWA OutdoorClassics is the world-leading specialist trade fair for shooting sports, hunting, outdoor activities equipment and security applications, and takes place 8-11 March 2019 at the Nuremberg exhibition centre.

Rebecca Schönfelder, Exhibition Director for IWA OutdoorClassics, said: “As one of the main sponsors of the European Outdoor Summit, we look forward to supporting the interests of the European outdoor sector for the first time in 2018. Manufacturers and retailers in this sector have also long been part of IWA OutdoorClassics, which has been the leading international trade fair for more than 40 years now and takes place annually in Nuremberg, Germany. As an organizer of this trade fair, we firmly believe that even in the digital age nothing can replace the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with people face to face, so we can reach new goals together.”

Commenting on the sponsorship, Mark Held, General Secretary for the EOG, said: “Since the EOS began in 2013 it has gone from strength to strength; with brands and organisations recognising the valuable insight it brings from both within and outside of the industry. We have had immense continued support from the industry over the years, and are now excited to bring on board the Summit’s first ever headline sponsor, IWA OutdoorClassics. Their support, together with that of our other new and long-time partners, is extremely valuable and will help us to once again deliver a fantastic Summit!”

Offering excellent value for money, the EOS early bird delegate place costs just 5550 SEK + VAT (approx. €550), increasing to 6550 SEK + VAT (approx. €650) from Saturday 28th July. In addition to a full programme of speakers, the delegate rate also includes a Networking Evening, which takes place on Wednesday 19th September; further details to be announced.

Delegates can book accommodation at the Clarion Hotel, which is attached to the Malmӧ Live congress centre. The Clarion offers over 400 guest rooms with stunning views over the city, making it the perfect accommodation for EOS delegates. Rooms at the venue can be booked directly via a link from the EOS website; bed & breakfast individual rooms cost from 1600 SEK (approx. €155) and bed & breakfast double rooms cost from 1,800 SEK (approx. €175).

About the EOG

The European Outdoor Group was founded in 2003 by 19 of the world’s largest outdoor companies, all of which recognised the need for a cohesive, cross border approach to representation of the outdoor sector. In a world of increasing internationalisation, legislation, environment, the media and trade are all now multinational issues. The combined strength of over 100 EOG members provide the group with an extremely powerful force to represent the European outdoor industry in a constructive and positive manner.

About the European Outdoor Summit

The European Outdoor Summit is an initiative of the European Outdoor Group, the association set up to represent the common interests of the European outdoor industry. The event is held annually and is a credible, relevant, informative resource that enables around 300 delegates to learn more about, reflect on and discuss the issues that they collectively face. The EOG has the lead role in delivering the summit, agreeing appropriate topics related to industry needs, focussing on current and future economic, technical and social trends, and developing a theme and content that matters to the trade across Europe.
